Christening Attire

Our granddaughter, Kayla Elizabeth Kern, was christened in the same church where her parents had been married two years earlier.

Since this ceremony was to be very formal, my son dressed in a suit.  I wore a suit and a hat to the event.  I wore a hat because I like wearing hats, but, even though hats are definitely coming back into vogue, most women still do not wear them no matter what the occasion.

The little lady of the hour wore the same christening outfit that her mother had worn twenty-seven years before when she was christened.
